At the heart of this adventure-ready sport utility machine is a Rotax® 976cc liquid-cooled V Twin—a 4-stroke, 8-valve SOHC setup that puts down 100 hp. It’s fuel-injected, starts with the push of an electric button, sips regular gas, and backs it all up with a 650-watt alternator for the days when “out there” turns into “after dark.” Power flows through a Quick Response System (QRS) CVT with Hi/Low range and reverse, then out via belt drive to the transmission and shaft drive to the wheels.



The Commander XT 1000R is sized to feel planted and confident—about 130 inches long, 64 inches wide, with a 90.6-inch wheelbase and a trail-friendly 13 inches of ground clearance. Up front, independent double A-arm suspension with 15 inches of travel and adjustable preload helps keep things composed when the route gets choppy. In back, the TTI independent rear suspension brings another 15 inches of travel, dual shocks, and shock-mounted adjustment—ready to smooth out ruts, rocks, and whatever your map app refuses to acknowledge. Add power steering, and tight turns feel a whole lot less like a workout.



Traction and control come standard with a selectable 4x2/4x4 driveline, plus a front differential lock when conditions demand more bite. 28-inch XPS Trail King knobby tires on 14-inch aluminum wheels dig in, while dual hydraulic disc brakes at both ends help you rein it all back in.



Inside, it’s a focused two-seat cockpit with bucket vinyl seating, headrests, two cupholders, and clear warnings for temp and fuel level. The cab is topped and framed with hard canopy and hard doors, and it’s protected with the practical stuff—brush guard, mud guards, CV boot cover, and a front bash plate.



When play turns into purpose, the rear bed is ready: 600 lb capacity, tilt function, integral tie-down hooks, and a receiver hitch rated to tow up to 2,000 lb. Secure it with DESS immobilizer, fire up the LED lighting, and point that nose toward the next “let’s see where this goes.”
