Meet the 2027 Can-Am™ Maverick™ Sport X 1000R—a performance-minded sport utility UTV that’s equal parts trail troublemaker and get-work-done sidekick. At the heart of the fun is a Rotax® 976cc liquid-cooled V-Twin, a 4-stroke setup with 8 valves (SOHC, 4 per cylinder) that dishes out 100 hp. Hit the electric start, feed it regular gas, and let the fuel injection keep things crisp when the terrain—and your right foot—get unpredictable. Power runs through a Quick Response System (QRS) CVT with hi/low range and reverse, putting you in control whether you’re creeping through technical sections or stretching its legs on open two-track.



This Maverick Sport X is built to play rough. With 15 inches of ground clearance, a full-length skid plate and front bash plate, plus protective touches like a brush guard, mud guards, and a CV boot cover, it’s ready for the kind of weekends that come with dust in your hair and stories you can’t stop telling.



The stance is confident—64 inches wide on aluminum wheels wrapped in 30-inch XPS Trac Force knobby tires (30 x 10-14 front and rear). Suspension is all about soaking up the wild stuff: independent double A-arm front and independent rear TTA-T, each delivering 14.8 inches of travel, with pre-load adjustability and stabilizer bars to keep things composed when the trail gets choppy.



Need capability with your adrenaline? You’ve got selectable 4x2/4x4 with a front differential lock, power steering, a 1,500-lb towing capacity with a receiver hitch, and a bed rated for 300 lbs with integral tie-down hooks. Inside, it’s a focused two-seat cockpit—bucket seats with headrests, two cupholders, clear fuel and temperature warnings, and LED lighting to keep the adventure going when the sun taps out.
